How to use Selection List

The Selection List can be used to submit a prioritized list of players for the program to use for your next selection(s). You can submit up to 100 players to the list as you want; however, you can only submit one at a time. The first player submitted to the list would be the first one used on your next turn. If the first player on your list has been selected prior to your turn, the program will then move down the list until it either finds a player not previously selected or it reaches the end of the list. In the latter case, the program will then proceed to wait for your selection as it normally would. If you submit a list after you are already on the clock to make a selection, it may take longer for the program to check the list than it would to submit the selection through the normal selection process, and you could possibly miss your turn even though you had already submitted a list.

You have three options for the Selection List. You can submit it to make only your next selection or to make multiple selections. In the latter case, you can set it to choose the next player on your list regardless of position or to not select more than one player at a position. If for example, your list contains 3 RB and then 1 WR and you have it set for multiple selections regardless of position, your next 3 selections would all be RB if they are available at that time. If, however, you set it to multiple selections limited to one selection per position, the first available RB on the list would be selected in the first selection and then the WR would be selected with the second pick. The list selection option is set with every new player added to the list, so it can be changed at any time. If you had it set to multiple selections and then changed it to one selection after your pick had been made, the list will make one more selection before being deleted. You can delete the list at any time prior to your turn to select. Once it becomes your turn, the program will look for a list and immediately enter the selection if the list is on file with an available player. If three owners selecting before you all have lists on file, there would be four selections made in the time it would normally take to make one, and it would be your turn before you would even know it. So if you are planning to delete a list on file, do it well in advance of your turn.

The selection list is a good way for an owner to keep up with the draft if he is going to be away from the computer for a length of time. It can also be used to drastically speed up the drafting process. If, for example, you are drafting at #6 in the first round and do not plan to trade, you can submit a list of the first six players you would take and be guaranteed of getting one of them. If the first six teams all submitted their lists prior to the start of the draft, the first six picks would be made within seconds after the first owner enters the draft room. You should always have a few players you are ready to select a few picks ahead of your turn at any point in the draft. If you would submit these to a list ahead of your turn, the process will move much, much faster.

To see your current list or to delete your list, set the select box to the appropriate action and then click on 'Submit to Selection List.' To add a player to list, set the select box to single or multiple selections, select one player to add to your list, and click on 'Submit to Selection List.' A small window will pop up showing you the status of your list. This window will be removed from your system when it loses focus. Simply click to 'View Selection List' to bring it back up.
