Keeper League Designation

This league has been designated as a 8-player keeper league. Keepers will be named prior to the start of the next season. Players who were on a roster at the end of the draft and who were never released to the free agency pool during the season will be eligible to be keepers. Players are drafted to a 5 year contract. This contract will remain with any player who has been traded. At the end of the contract period, players will be either returned to the player pool, or their contract can be extended at a cost of one additional keeper. This means that if you keep a player beyond the 5 period, you would have to count him as two keepers.

Each returning team must declare its full complement of keepers prior to the draft.

Trades are not allowed prior to keeper designations. Only designated keepers can be traded, and all other players who were on the roster will be considered free agents.

The most players that can be kept at a position is as follows:

Place Kicker2
Quarterback2
Running Back3
Tight End2
Wide Receiver3

Keepers must be declared by Aug 15, 2003 9 PM ET
